The Start of the Festival! (Week 6 Student Teaching)
Oh it's the most exciting time of the year! There is only one Florida Strawberry Festival and being able to be apart of the festival was something I was very exciting for. There is a lot of prep that goes into Strawberry Festival so most of our focus in and out of class this week was all about Strawberry festival. The first task on our very long to-do list was to shave sheep and make them look nice and pretty for the show. Before this moment, I had only worked with sheep for a total of like 30 seconds so I had a lot to learn but man oh man was I excited. Days like these are my absolute favorite because the kids get to learn by getting dirty and working hard. We started off by working on two sheep. So Monday, we got almost every class period involved in the process of shaving sheep. By the end of the day we had two of the sheep completely done and man oh man was that satisfying. I mean what a transformation. After school on Monday we worked with our OH Demonstration CDE team
